Repairs & faults

Tripping earth leakage, dead plugs, burning smells, flickering lights. We find the cause, not just reset the switch.

COCs & DBs

Distribution board upgrades, surge protection, earthing, testing and a Certificate of Compliance when the work is done.

We stock and sell electronics for the jobs we do — so you are not waiting on a third-party order for the common parts.

If it is wired, powered or needs to talk to a screen or a speaker, ask. If we cannot do it we will say so before we start.

Who we are

A Cape Town team for power, electronics and the kit that runs a business.

Silknet Green is based at Callington Crescent, Blouberg. We work all over Cape Town and the surrounding area — houses, shops, factories and restaurants.

We have a lot of time in the restaurant trade: new builds and renovations where electrical, sound, CCTV, networks and POS have to work together on opening day. That same approach is how we treat a house or a warehouse.

We keep the work neat, explain what we found in plain language, and do not push work you do not need.

We test, explain the board, and issue a COC where the work requires it.

Before you call.

Do you issue a Certificate of Compliance?

Yes. When the work requires a COC we test and issue one. Tell us if it is for a sale, a new connection or solar — the paperwork differs slightly.

Can you work on a sectional title / body corporate unit?

Yes. We work inside the unit and will coordinate with the trustees or managing agent if the job touches common supply.

Do you install the solar panels yourselves?

Yes. Panels, inverter, batteries and the board work. We can do a new solar system or add backup to what you already have.

Are you certified for fibre?

Yes. We install and repair fibre as certified fibre installers — new drops, faults, and the network that sits behind the ONT.

Do you fit out restaurants?

Yes. New builds and renovations across Cape Town — power, lighting, sound, CCTV, networks and POS so the floor can open on time.
